I woke up and my boyfriend was mad at me, I didn’t understand why or remember what had happened. I had no memory of leaving our flat and storming off in the night. The next day the police knock on my door and say they’re arresting me for attempted murder. They say I hit someone and cause them to nearly die. I move back home with my mum whilst I’m preparing to face court on bail and I ask my mum and dua lipa if they would help me fight this in court. The man I hit is now out of hospital and still pressing charges and comes to my home to intimidate me. We go to court and we find CCTV that shows he had tried to sexually assault me which is why I had hit him, in court I have to divulge all my previous sexual assault history and the entire process is really dehumanising. I tell the jury I woke up in hell and then I wake up and it was just a dream
Dreams can be deeply symbolic, often reflecting our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This particular dream seems to encompass themes of guilt, fear, trauma, and the struggle for justice, which may suggest several things about your current emotional state and life situation.
Fear of Judgment and Guilt: Your dream may indicate an anxiety about being misunderstood or judged by others, especially in your relationship or social life. The initial confrontation with your boyfriend could symbolize feelings of guilt or responsibility for something you may not be aware of but fear might come to light.
Trauma and Past Experiences: The presence of previous sexual assault history in the court scene suggests that you may be grappling with unresolved trauma or feelings of victimization. This aspect of your dream might indicate a need for healing or a desire to process your past experiences more effectively.
The Need for Support: Your request for help from your mother and Dua Lipa points to a desire for support and reassurance during difficult times. It reflects a longing for a protective figure in your life as you navigate personal crises.
Conflict and Resolution: The courtroom setting could symbolize an internal struggle between your sense of self and external perceptions. You might be processing how your past actions or experiences are viewed, and the intense fear of having to confront this can signify an ongoing need for validation and resolution.
Loss of Control: The feeling of waking up in "hell" often illustrates a feeling of being trapped in a difficult situation beyond your control. This might represent anxiety about feeling overwhelmed in your waking life, perhaps in terms of relationships or personal circumstances.
Ultimately, this dream suggests a significant engagement with themes of accountability, justice, and the trauma of past experiences. It may be beneficial to reflect on any emotions or events in your waking life that resonate with these themes. Engaging in conversations with trusted friends, family, or a professional can provide clarity and support as you navigate these feelings.
